Can't help loving this ceremony

The hottest wedding we've ever played turned out to be among the coolest.

The Weather Service reports Phoenix broke the record for June 3 with a high of 113.

Mikhaila and Jordan's wedding went as planned, outdoors at 6 p.m. It's a beautiful setting, but the extra touches this creative couple added really set their ceremony apart.

It started with the processional: five groomsmen and bridesmaids, followed by a ring bearer and flower girl -- Grandpa and Grandma. Grandma really got into the spirit of tossing flower petals as we played the final measures of "Come Away With Me."

Mikhaila walked in to "You Raise Me Up," a song she requested when we first met more than a year ago.

Jordan's brother delivered the sermon. And then came the candle lighting, with an incredibly personal gift: Mikhaila's little sister, Grace, sang Ingrid Michaelson's version of "Can't Help Falling in Love" to our accompaniment. This young lady has a voice; Robert got goosebumps at one dramatic point in the song. We'd be surprised if there were many dry eyes in the crowd.

This was a unique celebration, and we were honored to be a part of it.
